ABC Pediatrics Fresno provides compassionate care to children and adolescents throughout Fresno, California, and its surrounding communities. Katayoon Shahinfar, MD, leads the pediatric practice with more than 20 years of experience.
With Dr. Shahinfar’s training, the practice sees children of all ages, from birth through early adulthood. Her excellent standard of care has earned her the Sante Community Physicians’ Top 10 award for outstanding doctors several times over the last 20 years.
Well-child visits, adolescent health care, and autism management are a few of the routine services that ABC Pediatrics Fresno offers. The practice also diagnoses and treats asthma and allergies, behavioral health issues, sports injuries, and other health challenges that commonly affect children and adolescents.

Dr. Katayoon (Kathy) Shahinfar
Katayoon (Kathy) Shahinfar, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at ABC Pediatrics Fresno in Fresno, California. She provides quality, personal pediatric care for all children from infancy through age 18.
Dr. Shahinfar is an experienced pediatric physician with more than 20 years of experience. She has been proudly serving the Fresno area since 1999. Her colleagues and patients have consistently ranked her highly for the quality services that she provides.
At ABC Pediatrics Fresno, Dr. Shahinfar routinely sees children for regular well-child visits, routine immunizations, and urgent problems like sports injuries. She also offers behavioral health services for adolescents with conditions like ADHD and autism, asthma and allergy care, and much more.
Sante Community Physicians has recognized Dr. Shahinfar as a “Top Ten” pediatrician for her outstanding performance in delivering excellent clinical care many times over the past 20 years. She served on the board of the Fresno Madera Medical Society for 5 years. She maintains professional affiliations with the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the California Medical Association, and the Fresno Madera Medical Society.
Dr. Shahinfar is married and has a daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to relax by cooking and reading.
Dr. Lola K Chan
Lola K. Chan, MD, is an experienced and compassionate pediatrician practicing at ABC Pediatrics Fresno, located in Fresno, California. Dr. Chan has been proudly serving the Central Valley community since 1989.
Dr. Chan attended the University of South Wales Medical School in Sydney, Australia, and completed her pediatric residency at Valley Medical Center in Fresno, California. She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Chan believes it’s critical to explain the conditions and treatment methods she’s using to her patients and their families. She takes the requisite time to explain your child’s treatment options and answers any questions that you may have. She understands how stressful it can be to navigate the world when your child is sick or injured.
To better accommodate more patients, Dr. Chan is fluent in both English and Cantonese.
Dr. Chan is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to partnering with them at ABC Pediatrics Fresno.
Kammi Sayaseng, DNP, PNP-BC, IBCLC
Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner
Kammi Sayaseng, DNP, PNP-BC, IBCLC, is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Kammi sees patients at ABC Pediatrics Fresno in Fresno, California, and has been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 19 years.
In addition to her extensive primary care experience, Kammi spent 16 years working in pediatric dermatology. She has worked with pediatric nurse practitioners and medical students as well as resident physicians.
Outside of her part-time role as a health care provider at ABC Pediatrics Fresno, Kammi also works as a full-time professor at California State University, Fresno.
To better serve more patients and their families, Kammi is fluent in Chinese (Hakka), Lao, Thai, English, and Spanish.

My daughter is 6 and has been attending since 6 months old. I love that if my daughter is sick and they have no appointments, they don't tell me to take her elsewhere as other offices. They always have a way to see my daughter. The MA is so friendly. My daughter was just seen for her flu shot and they are very awesome with her.
